You are brave for being here. You have done your best as a parent, and yet your child is still struggling. It hurts to see them beating themselves down, and selling themselves short when you know who they are at their best. You've heard them say "I'm not good enough," "no one understands me," or "things would be better if I weren't here." Maybe they've turned to self harm to manage their emotions. You want to protect them, help them heal, and show them the beauty you see when you look at them.

Who were you before the world told you who you could be? How much do children and adolescents sacrifice themselves, their sweet quirks and unique gifts, to conform to the expectations of their peers and society as a whole? Simply put, I want your child to own themselves, in their most authentic form.

I believe there is strength in vulnerability, and telling one’s story is an act of great courage. The honor of supporting and guiding your child in exploration and empowerment is deeply meaningful to me.

I look forward to helping your child own their story and write their own ending.

A little about my background…

  • I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, with a Masters Degree in Clinical Social Work from Bryn Mawr’s Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research. Over the last 8 years, I have worked with a variety of populations, ranging from families navigating the international adoption process, to trans* identified college students, to young women in long term residential treatment.

  • I embrace the Sanctuary model, and take a trauma informed approach in my work. I have extensive therapeutic crisis intervention and DBT training, and regularly employ DBT in individual sessions. I also have training in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Applied Behavioral Analysis, and Psychodynamic Therapy. I am comfortable working with children and teens who have been identified as "high risk" and engage in self harming behaviors.
