Play therapist for sensitive and strong-willed children
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday & Saturday hours by appointment
$150 per session
I am out of network with insurance panels; however, many insurance plans now offer out of network benefits. It is the client's responsibility to see if their plan offers out of network reimbursement. I am happy to issue receipts of payment for a client to submit to their health insurance.
A little about me...
I received my Masters Degree in Clinical Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania. I've been working with children and adolescents in the mental health field for over 4 years.
I love to play! Being a play therapist is one of my greatest joys and has been one of the most beautiful gifts I have been given.
Most of my clinical work has been focused on working closely with children who are survivors of trauma.
I primarily use free play to allow my clients to access their natural strength and ability to explore, express, and heal themselves.
I use my clinical intuition to allow my clients to tell me what they need in session. I pull from various approaches, which can include Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), mindfulness-based therapy, psychodynamic therapy, sand tray therapy, and expressive art therapy.
I work closely with the family of my clients, recognizing the importance of including the family in the treatment of the client. I communicate openly with the client and family to ensure each member feels seen, understood, and supported.
I have a particular passion for working with parents to break generational patterns of unhealed wounds, allowing them to become a fuller version of the parents they want to be.
I was born with a big heart and love of life that makes me a natural therapist. I have a deep compassion that allows me to love myself, my clients, and my work with them.
I am here to help your child and family heal. I would love to hear more from you. Please contact me and we can discuss how I can best support your family!
Missing Appointments & Cancellation Policy
It is important that you regularly attend your scheduled appointments. When there are missed sessions, it can cause a lapse in our work which may result in delayed progress. I understand that there may be extenuating circumstances and I can certainly make exceptions for them, but please understand that your appointment time is reserved for you and our work together. For these reasons, I request 24 hours notice for cancelled appointments in order to avoid a cancellation fee. The cancellation fee for less than 24 hours notice is the full cost of the session.
