How I work
As a graduate-level intern, my focus is on creating a warm, supportive space where clients feel safe to explore their challenges and work toward meaningful growth. I believe therapy should be individualized as everyone’s needs are different, and there’s no “one-size-fits-all” approach. Together, we’ll tailor each session to fit your unique journey, empowering you to take an active role in the therapeutic process. While you are the expert of your own life, I’m here to offer professional guidance, tools, and support to help you navigate obstacles and move forward. The therapeutic relationship is at the core of our work, and I prioritize building trust and rapport to ensure we are working effectively together. My goal is to help you build confidence, develop practical coping strategies, and expand your “toolkit” for managing life’s challenges.
My Education & Trainings
I am currently pursuing my Master’s in Counseling with a concentration in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Villanova University. Before graduate school, I earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychology with minors in Family and Human Development and Social and Behavioral Sciences from Arizona State University. During my time at Arizona State, I had the privilege of gaining experience in a variety of settings, including providing support in inpatient and outpatient counseling centers specializing in oncology and gender-based violence in Mombasa, Kenya. I also served as a Certified HelpLine Specialist with the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), offering psychoeducation, resources, and emotional support. Additionally, I was an undergraduate intern at a private practice, where I expanded my counseling and cultural competencies. Most recently, I have worked as a graduate-level intern, providing counseling services to neurodivergent children and adolescents under the supervision of a licensed professional counselor. I draw on these diverse experiences to inform my practice, helping me meet clients where they are and support them through their unique journeys.
The relationship with your therapist is a large part of your success. Here’s more about me!
Outside of work and the classroom, I love spending time doing things that fill my cup! This includes hanging out with friends and family, getting outdoors, playing pickleball, or baking something new in the kitchen (I’m definitely more of a baker than a cook!). I’m always committed to whatever TV show I’m watching at the moment (usually a sitcom or reality show), and I welcome all recommendations! If there’s a board game around, count me in, though fair warning: I can get a little competitive! I love learning new things about pretty much everything, so there is always something I’m Googling or reading up on! I also enjoy learning about different people, places, and cultures, and I value when travel gives me the chance to experience that firsthand. Originally from Arizona, I enjoy warm weather, country line dancing, and spending time by the pool!
