How I work

My therapeutic approaches and interventions are as diverse as the population that I work with. I am a firm believer and staunch advocate that anything can be considered therapeutic. With the students I have worked for in the past, I have used many different therapeutic approaches and interventions such as immersive play, music, movies, sandtable, and talk therapy. Holding a firm belief that mental healthcare should be person-centered, I am easily able to adapt and integrate various styles and approaches based on a client’s needs and interests.

My Education & Trainings

My journey to becoming a therapist began as an undergraduate at Framingham State University where I graduated in 2020 as a double-major in Criminology and Psychology. Before graduating, I was a Therapeutic Mentor/Therapeutic Training and Support Intern for six months before being hired and filling the role for a year. Having only scratched the surface on the realm of mental health, I decided to resign from my role and go back to school to pursue a Masters in Clinical Psychology at Bridgewater State University. I spent my clinical practicum and internship at a residential treatment program where I currently work full-time providing therapy to students from childhood through young adulthood with Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs). This experience has provided me with the privilege to get to know and work for some of the sweetest students and their families.

I have extensive experience in crisis management, response, and de-escalation. I have been a Pro-ACT De-Escalation and Physical Restraint Trainer for two years.

The relationship with your therapist is a large part of your success. Here’s more about me!

My interests are similar to those of the population that I most enjoy working for. I enjoy watching cartoons like Adventure Time, Craig of the Creek, X-Men (1997), The Amazing Spider-Man: The Animated Series (1994), Avatar: The Last Airbender, The Amazing World of Gumball, The Regular Show and more! I am also a huge fan of the MCU, although some of the classic Marvel movies remain among my favorites of all time. I enjoy working out in my spare time on the weekends and during the week when I can. Play videogames on my PlayStation although I also enjoy restoring and using classic video game consoles and handhelds like the GameBoy Advanced and the Nintendo GameCube and replay games that were originally released in the early 2000s. I love to watch the WNBA. The Las Vegas Aces is my favorite team and A’ja Wilson is my favorite player.

I love all kinds of music, with rap music being my favorite. Growing up, my parents and I would cook with us every night and we would also have different genres of music playing in the kitchen as we cooked, sang, and danced together.
