OVER THE COURSE OF 6 WEEKLY SESSIONS, YOUR TEEN WILL COVER:
- increasing awareness of stress and anxiety and it's negative impact on our bodies and minds
- recognizing unhelpful or negative self-talk and challenging anxious thoughts
- organization tips and utilizing agenda books
- learning coping skills and expressive art strategies to decrease stress
- understanding self-care and how to use it effectively
The weekly breakdown:
Week 1: Stress and anxiety and how it impacts the mind and body
Week 2: Art exercise and the importance of healthy self talk
Week 3: Self talk and challenging anxious thoughts
Week 4: Organization tips and utilizing agenda books
Week 5: Organization tips and stress management including coping strategies/art exercise
