How I work
I believe that trust is the foundation of the therapeutic relationship. I spend the time necessary to build a rapport based on trust by listening, validating my clients' feelings, and encouraging them to believe that healing is possible. I have a passion for working with teens who don't yet have the confidence to imagine a future for themselves. I have found that active play or walking is most often an effective approach to connecting with my clients. I approach the work I do with children with a belief that play and a secure attachment to a parent or guardian is essential to their mental health.
My Education & Trainings
I graduated with a master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Grand Canyon University in 2024. I am an associate licensed professional counselor and am currently working towards a certification in Child and Parent Psychotherapy.

I am a mom of three teenagers. I was a distance runner for many years and try to walk or jog as many days as I can during the week. One of my favorite jobs was that of a student aide and Chaplain at an all-girls Catholic high school in New Zealand. It was the most beautiful and inclusive environment I have ever worked in. Each student was celebrated for their individual successes and encouraged to follow their own personal path. As a therapist I see myself as a coach, an advocate, and an encourager.
