Group Therapy

Specialized Therapy Groups for Children, Teens, Young Adults, and Parents in Jenkintown, PA and Wellesley, MA

Connection, Skills, and Support—Because You Don't Have to Navigate Challenges Alone

Sometimes individual therapy isn't the only—or even the best—way to support a child or teen.

A group setting gives individuals the opportunity to connect with peers who may be experiencing similar challenges while developing practical skills with the guidance of an experienced clinician.

At The Center for Family Empowerment, our therapy groups are thoughtfully designed around the developmental needs and experiences of children, teens, young adults, and parents. Groups provide a supportive environment where participants can build confidence, practice new skills, develop relationships, and discover that they aren't alone in what they're experiencing.

Our groups vary throughout the year based on clinical need and enrollment.

Why Group Therapy?

There’s something magical that happens when we realize we’re not alone in our struggles and other people might actually get it. Group therapy allows us to learn alongside peers while receiving professional guidance from a trained clinician.

Depending on the group, participants may have opportunities to:

• Practice emotional regulation skills • Build confidence and self-esteem • Improve communication • Develop social skills
• Navigate peer relationships • Learn healthy coping strategies • Practice skills in a supportive environment • Receive feedback and encouragement • Develop a stronger sense of belonging

For many of us, simply realizing that they aren't alone can be an important part of the therapeutic process.
