How I work
I am passionate about supporting children, adolescents, and families as they navigate life’s challenges and big emotions. I strive to create a warm, safe, and supportive space where clients feel comfortable being themselves and expressing what they’re going through.
I take a strengths-based and trauma-informed approach to therapy, and I value meeting eachcl ient where they are. With younger clients, I enjoy incorporating creative and play-based techniques such as drawing, games, and hands-on activities to help them express themselves in ways that feel natural and engaging.
With adolescents, I focus on building a collaborative and trusting relationship where they feel heard, respected, and empowered.
I believe that feeling safe and understood is the foundation for meaningful growth, and I aim to support each client in building confidence, emotional awareness, and healthy coping skills.
My Education & Trainings
I am currently pursuing my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Holy Family University. Through my training, I have developed foundational skills in active listening, rapport building, and providing culturally responsive care. I am especially interested in working with youth and families and continuing to grow my clinical skills through supervision and hands-on experience.
The relationship with your therapist is a large part of your success. Here’s more about me!
I grew up in Pennsylvania and Indiana and have also lived in Syria and Istanbul, Turkey, which has shaped my appreciation for different cultures and perspectives. I love my cat and enjoy trying out new coffee shops, as well as spending my spare time learning and growing both personally and professionally. Some of my hobbies and interests include jigsaw puzzles, watching Formula 1 races and soccer games, and discovering new places to explore like museums and different activities.
Working With Me
I offer sessions on Fridays and Saturdays at our Jenkintown, PA office in support of the Low Fee Program.
Jaala is currently under supervision with Lauren Romeo, LPC (PA License: PC015735).
