How I work
I am passionate about supporting children and adolescents working through difficulties related to anxiety, depression, and other behavioral and emotional challenges. I value a client-centered and strengths-based approach that focuses on creating a safe space that is unique to each individual’s needs and preferences.
My Education & Trainings
I am currently pursuing my Master’s in Social Work at Boston College with a Clinical focus on Children, Youth, and Families. Prior to this, I also earned my undergraduate degree in Psychology at Boston College with a minor focus on International Studies. For my first year practicum, I worked as a Social Work Intern at Ditson Elementary School in Billerica, MA, where I developed and supported small groups and provided counseling support for students on IEP and 504 plans. Since May 2023, I have worked as a Community Residence Counselor on the OCDI Jr. Unit of McLean Hospital, where I conduct Exposure Response Prevention (ERP) sessions with adolescents struggling with OCD and support their daily activities in a residential setting. During my undergraduate experience, I also spent time as a Teaching Assistant at Perkins School for the Blind, where I supported students with behavioral and communication challenges in school and home settings. My experience working in both educational and residential settings grounds me not only in the idea that individuals require different kinds of support depending on the setting, but also that clinicians should be prepared to empower clients to thrive in all realms of life.
The relationship with your therapist is a large part of your success. Here’s more about me!
I am a huge lover of anything based in creativity – I love to read, watercolor paint, and work on any intriguing DIY activity I can get my hands on. In my free time, I love reading (fantasy and mystery are my favorite genres) and trying new coffee shops (always iced). I consider myself pretty outgoing and love meeting new people, but I definitely appreciate alone time as a way to unwind and de-stress. I come from a large extended family, and I deeply value my time spent with them and my friends. I also love traveling and hope to check way more locations off of my bucket list. I spent a semester studying abroad in London – I would love to live abroad again at some point in my life!
Working With Me
I offer sessions both virtually and in person at our Wellesley, MA office on Wednesdays.
