My Child Struggles with Self-Esteem

child anxiety and low self esteem

Research tells us that self-esteem begins to plummet at age 9. You might be starting to hear comments like “Nobody likes me,” “I’m not good enough,” “I don’t like my body,” and “I don’t have any friends.” If your child is struggling with confidence and claiming their strengths, or if they often make negative statements about themselves, they could benefit from self-esteem support. This support can take the form of either prevention (boosting self-esteem before it starts to drop) or intervention (boosting self-esteem after it’s already dropped).
